Welcome to the Third Grade!
Each rising third grader is strongly encouraged to read. Our summer goal is for each student to achieve 600 minutes of reading! Here are some authors and series we think you’ll enjoy. This list includes poetry, chapter books and picture books. We Need Diverse Books and Goodreads are also great sources of books to read anytime. Please record on the reading log found here. Students may log their books electronically using our online resource Beanstack. To receive Beanstack login credentials, fill out this form. Record all books you read alone and that are read to you. Audio books are also a good option.
