Middle School Summer Reading & Assignments

Your Middle School teachers have created a fun Bingo-style game for your summer learning! Check out the options for your 2025-2026 grade and earn Bingo this summer! You will turn in your Bingo board for a grade, so make sure you keep track of your work - you may use either Google Drive or printed copies. See the links on the grade-specific pages for more information.

Books are available in multiple formats from public libraries, local bookstores, and online retailers. 

Students have or will receive a specific math book or packet that is required to be completed for each grade.  Should a family misplace the packet/book, they can find them below.

1. Read The Story of More by Hope Jahren and write a paragraph to summarize what you think are the three biggest things impacting climate change right now.

2. Read The Disappearing Spoon by Sam Kean and write a paragraph summarizing one of the tales of an element.

3. Visit The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore

• Things to focus on: Earth and animal conservation
• Write a paragraph to summarize three new things that you learned, and then three things you can do to help with animal conservation.

4. Streaming on Disney+/Hulu - Watch the Jane Goodall Documentary

• Write a paragraph to summarize three new things that you learned, and then three things you can do to help with animal conservation.
