Keep your question in mind as you read. 

As you take notes/make notecards, include a reminder to yourself about how that idea or piece of information relates to your research question.

Finding Academic or Scholarly Journal Articles

An academic or scholarly journal is a periodical publication in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Academic journals are usually peer-reviewed or refereed by several experts before publication in a journal.

Accessing articles 

Search the databases below to find scholarly articles - if you're off campus, you should be prompted to log in with your Bryn Mawr Google account.

Tip: When searching a database for scholarly articles, you may want to narrow your results to "scholarly" or "peer-reviewed."
